Jazz at the Carlyle
Jazz at the Carlyle
oil on wood 12” x 12” - edged framed in black satin finish metal
I went to hear The Robert Mosci trio at Bemelmans Bar. As usual, it was very busy. The place is dark and there's little room to maneuver for taking pictures. People do get up and shoot videos, snap photos though.
As I knew my reference would be limited, I aimed for a loose painting that captured the feel of the room - the warm, dim lighting and the collective energy, artistry of the musicians, their instruments.
